Academics

Reuben B. Myers School of Arts and Sciences proudly serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Our champions attend school each day from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., where they engage in meaningful learning experiences designed to support academic growth, creativity, and success.

Throughout the week, students participate in special area classes including Physical Education, Computer Lab, Music, Library, and Counseling. These opportunities provide our champions with a well-rounded educational experience that supports the development of the whole child.

Our students also benefit from a strong support team that includes a Reading Interventionist, Math Interventionist, EL Interventionist, School Counselor, Gifted Education Teacher, Speech Therapist, and School Nurse. These dedicated professionals work alongside classroom teachers to provide targeted support and enrichment opportunities for every learner.

Each grade level implements Tiger Time, a dedicated time for personalized instruction, Close Reading, Math Fact Fluency practice, and i-Ready Reading and Math support. Through these focused learning opportunities and alignment with the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards, we are committed to helping every champion grow, achieve, and reach their full potential.
