Dr. Kyairra Thomas, Assistant Principal

It is my pleasure to serve as the Assistant Principal of Reuben B. Myers Canton School of Arts and Sciences. I am excited to enter into another year of academic excellence and success. As I embark upon my 3rd year as an administrator, and my 6th year in the Canton Public School District, I am committed to bringing new opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and thrive within our school community.  

I am a proud alumna of Tougaloo College (Bachelor or Arts in English), Mississippi College (Specialist in Educational Leadership) and Belhaven University (Master of Arts in Education; Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership). My husband and our two sons have been residents of Canton for 8 years and counting!  I am thrilled to be a part of a thriving community, and look forward to an exciting year of teaching and learning.

Together, in partnership, we can ensure that the students of RBM are well equipped for the journey ahead. I look forward to continued success as we uphold our school’s mission and vision of excellence!
